Heroic Hounds at Wheeler Centre

Well here it is folks, for those of you who couldn't make it to my lunchtime soapbox event at the Wheeler Centre last week, they have posted the video of my speech on their site. Please excuse the weird twitching thing I seem to do with my mouth, which I wasn't aware of until now but shall be visiting the doctor about very soon.

For those who don't know, this is me chronicling the history of heroic hounds in literature and movies, discussing all the great brave dogs like Lassie, Benji, the Littlest Hobo, Krypto, dogs in Jules Verne and Edgar Allen Poe, Inspector Rex and even bomb-sniffing real life Aussie hero Sabi, held prisoner by the Taliban for 18 months.

If you haven't been down to the Wheeler Centre, you really should check out their program and book yourself in for a session. They're pretty much always free and they do lunchtime and early evening sessions so there's plenty to do on your lunchbreak or after work. 'Tis a fine institution, populated by sterling types like George Dunford, whom I must thank for this video. Thanks also to those who came along and forced a laugh, I'm glad you were there!

Thanks for bringing your hounds to our kennel - lots of laughs and a very dapper looking speaker.
